Edgar, Edna, Elmer, & Edison

Edgar, Enda, & Elmer Photo

Dr. May’s fur family started in 2012 when he adopted his first French bulldog, Edgar, from a local family that could no longer keep him. It was love at first sight!

A couple years later Dr. May’s friend, a Veterinarian in Arizona, contacted him regarding a dog named Edna. He learned that Edna was going to be auctioned off as a way to raise money because her owners could no longer take care of her. Instead, Dr. May decided he would put forth the money needed to adopt Edna! Dr. May flew to Arizona in the fall of 2014 and proudly took Edna home to Fargo.

Five months later, Dr. May also adopted Edna’s biological brother Elmer to add to his growing family.

Edison is the newest addition to Dr. May's fur family. He came from the same vet as Elmer and Edna, who knows he has a soft spot for French Bulldogs. Edison is a super special case and the vet thought Dr. May would be the best dad to him. Edison has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. He needs extra love and protection, and Dr. may has provided that for him. Edison is doing well these days under his care.
